Basketball Hall of Fame

A Peoria native, Shaun Livingston established himself as one of Illinois' greatest high school basketball players at Peoria High School. He led the Lions to back-to-back IHSA Class AA state championships, earned Illinois Mr. Basketball honors, and was selected as a McDonald's All-American, becoming one of the most celebrated athletes in the city's history.

Livingston's basketball journey became a story of perseverance and triumph. Selected 4th overall in the 2004 NBA Draft directly out of high school, he overcame a devastating career-threatening knee injury to return to the NBA after an arduous rehabilitation. His remarkable comeback culminated in a 15-year professional career highlighted by three NBA championships as a key member of the Golden State Warriors dynasty, cementing his legacy as one of Peoria's most inspiring sports figures.
